FLUID
An ode to the in-between, defined by contrast - FLUID is minimal yet expressive, exclusive yet inviting. Made for those who defy definition - OMR BEAUTY [via Instagram]
Are you looking for a new fragrance that looks as gorgeous as it smells? Well, OMR BEAUTY’s newest launch, FLUID, is perfect for you!
The company started teasing FLUID on May 19th with a cryptic post and even more cryptic captions on their Instagram. It simply featured a (stunning) photo of Omar under a spotlight with water raining down around him. As more promo teasers were released, they all had one common theme—water. This left fans especially curious as to what the new product would be.

The spotlight’s about to widen✨- OMR BEAUTY [via Instagram]
In the following weeks, the brand had fans bouncing off the walls, guessing what they might be dropping next. Many people threw out ideas such as a lip product, a body oil, or even something glittery. But alas, on May 26, we finally got confirmation that it was another beautiful fragrance.

@somehwhatwedie (on X)
FLUID is packaged in the same sleek bottle design as the past two sprays, INTRO and DUO, this time in a new baby pink edition.
Despite the similarity, however, I must say I am personally quite partial to FLUID. I never used to be a pink girlie growing up, but something about the subtle pale shade and the perfect floral scent packaged inside has won over my heart.
Not only the packaging, the aforementioned promo also played with the color theme with pools of creamy pink water—the sleek wetness of the water combined with the soft pink coloring was truly a sight to see, and made fans all the more excited to get their hands on it.
When OMR BEAUTY released the notes for FLUID, I was all the more excited. As a sweet lover, seeing the vanilla and cooked sugar in the fragrance had me very impatiently awaiting the drop, and I knew it would make its way into my top favorites.
FLUID opens with luminous florals, deepens with sugar and musk, and grounds you in cedarwood and green galbanum - OMR BEAUTY [via Instagram]
The floral top notes, particularly Lily of the Valley and Jasmine, really stick out, especially in combination with OMR BEAUTY's favorite inclusion, musk, in both the top and middle notes. Along with the musk, the cooked sugar adds a subtle sweetness that balances perfectly with the florals. One Twitter/X user described it as ‘so flowery but not too much it’s overwhelming’, which I think is a perfectly fitting description. Alongside the campaign message of fluidity and defying labels, the notes of the fragrance have impeccably matched that, blending together perfectly to make an incredible olfactory experience for wearers.
Once it was released, the fan reactions to FLUID were just as expected. All over X, fans were singing their praises for the new fragrance as each new person got theirs delivered. Many people were taking to social media with pictures, art, edits, and even some makeup looks to celebrate the launch of FLUID, and Omar was working just as hard to see and like everyone!

Among all the reviews on social media, there has been one common thread that stuck out–the longevity of the fragrance. Many fans on X have stated just how shocked they were at how long the scent lasted, some even saying that after they’ve taken showers and had it on all day, it was still noticeable. I think this goes to show just how high-quality OMR BEAUTY products are. I know personally I’ve bought some very expensive fragrances that seem to disappear the second I step out of the house, but I’ve never had that issue with any OMR BEAUTY scents. I don’t know what their secret is, but I’m certainly a fan!
But enough about me… what do you think of this fragrance? Does FLUID live up to the hype?
No one knows what OMR BEAUTY may have in store for us in the future, but they have certainly set the bar high, and we here at Omar Nation will be ready to review it whenever the time comes!

DAMON BAKER PHOTOSHOOT
PART ONE
Every single picture in this article was taken and posted by @damonbaker (via instagram)
On June 1st, Omar broke the fandom by posting a photo on his Instagram story, seemingly from a photoshoot. He also tagged photographer Damon Baker in the post. With the slightly provocative nature of the picture, the fandom was rightfully in awe and went crazy posting about it. Damon Baker being tagged in the post solidified that it was a photoshoot and that we’d have more content to come, which only left the fandom itching for more.
On June 6th, Damon Baker posted a teaser for the photoshoot with Omar that had the fandom running wild. Baker has previously photographed many well-known artists, including Cole Sprouse, Damiano David, and Sadie Sink. It’s safe to say the fandom was over the moon excited.
Omar… Uncensored… Damon, London… To Be Continued
- Damon Baker [Via Instagram]
As the fandom sat in anticipation, many people were taking to Damon’s Instagram to get a sense of the photos he had taken in the past and his photography style, hoping to get a glimpse into what the photos with Omar may look like.

At last, on June 8th, the day finally came; Damon posted the photoshoot and, for lack of better words, all hell broke loose.

The photoshoot was a perfect blend of artistry, emotion, and vulnerability. Seeing Omar, who has previously stated that he’s working to be more comfortable with his body, express this level of vulnerability through the art of photography was incredibly beautiful.
Damon’s personal message behind the photoshoot also hit close to home with a lot of fans. This photoshoot was seemingly Damon’s artistic expression of living life while dealing with anxiety and empathy.
Loving and living a life with anxiety and empathy is like dancing in the rain–both trembling and tender, uncertain and alive - Damon Baker [Via Instagram]
Damon’s photography and Omar’s artistry came together beautifully to perfectly represent the feelings and the message behind the photoshoot. Damon’s message in the caption of the post was profoundly relatable, especially as someone who deals with an anxiety disorder myself. Seeing myself represented so beautifully and vulnerably through one of my favorite artists was so healing.
As the beauty of the photoshoot slowly took over the fandom, unfortunately, behind the scenes, people were reporting Damon’s post in an attempt to get it age restricted, citing that it was “inappropriate” and “too much,’ believing that Omar shouldn’t be showcasing his body in this way. In response, Damon posted a video to his Instagram, expressing his feelings on the censorship of his art. In lieu of how perfectly he described it, I will simply leave you all with a direct quote.

My art is never erotic for the sake of sexual intention. It is born through intimacy and vulnerability. The acceptance and healing of one coming together in harmony with one of the most authentic and natural parts of humanity. The body. - Damon Baker [Via Instagram]
Thankfully, though, art prevails, and the post has now been restored and is visible to all audiences. Despite the censorship that has become rampant on social media, it sparked a wonderful conversation on social media, most notably X, about vulnerability, intimacy, and how they go hand in hand with artistic expression. The human body is not shameful and is an incredibly beautiful art form used worldwide. Thankfully, we have overcome this bout of censorship, and Omar and Damon’s collaborative art piece can be enjoyed and felt by all.

SUMMER TOUR SHOWS
PART ONE - MIGHTY HOOPLA AND PINKPOP
Summer is finally here! If you’re reading this then you already know what that means for Omar fans, but if you’re new here…
It’s summer show season; it’s iconic, unforgettable, incomparable, outfits season; it’s everyone’s favourite kind of Omar era.
IT’S FESTIVAL SEASON.
There’s nothing more significant or memorable to this fanbase than Omar’s summer shows, so of course we’re taking the opportunity to talk about them again in this magazine! Back in Volume 1, I had the pleasure to write about last year’s summer shows, and I am eternally grateful to have the opportunity to write about some of this year’s too!
As always, we have interviewed many people who attended both Mighty Hoopla and Pinkpop Festival, the two shows we will be talking about in this specific article, in order to write about your experiences.
Mighty Hoopla, London, United Kingdom.
Omar’s summer shows started in London, England, on the 31st of May—as a UK resident myself, I couldn’t have been happier that we would be hosting the first of Omar’s many shows this summer, and I was lucky enough to attend!
“Hoopla was kinda special, ‘cause the atmosphere of that huge, queer playground was amazing.” — X user @Caddue

@omrze_ (on X)
Mighty Hoopla is an LGBTQIA+ and Pop Culture centred festival held in the UK every summer. I do not think this summer could have started better anywhere else—the energy and the people were indescribable. One attendee of Mighty Hoopla (X user @Caddue) told us that they attended because, ‘I love queer spaces, I love London, I love Omar - no brainer,’ and I could not agree more. It was such a safe, inclusive, comfortable and freeing environment, with the most incredible people.
Hoopla is an extremely impressive event (usually spanned across multiple days), with many huge names performing each year. Alongside Omar, beloved artists performed this year, including JADE, JoJo, Ke$ha and Loreen, to name a few. It’s fair to say that this festival had an unbelievable line up for the weekend, and I’m still completely mindblown by it.
“Seriously, the people I went to this show with are the greatest and I love them a whole lot. Thank you, Omar, for bringing us together,” says X user @phanslovelife. Another X user, @lilamedglitter, also commented on the community at this show: “I got to meet people that I would soon become great friends with, and I’m so grateful that we got this chance to connect.” I’ve said it countless times before and I’ll say it again: there’s nothing in the world like the family we have created in this fandom, and everybody agrees.
Speaking personally, I bought a ticket for this event initially knowing only one other person who was also attending (as we planned on going together), and left with a whole new group of friends. It’s rather incredible how everybody comes together and bonds for life over something as simple as a show—though I suppose Omar’s shows are never ‘simple’. Instead, the word extraordinary comes to mind.
“Every time I see him it’s just as incredible as the first.” — X user @omrze_
I’m a firm believer that Omar’s outfits during festival season always outrank everything else. Last summer’s outfits are some of the most favourite and memorable of all time for fans, and I feel that this summer will follow in the same footsteps.
It’s 3:15pm, and Omar walks onto the main stage wearing an all white outfit: a long sleeved shirt with a tank top underneath that he later revealed, and trousers with lace/net-material patches on them (possibly flowers?). I remember the reaction to the outfit both in person and online—loud, crazy and obsessed.
Unfortunately, Omar’s set was only 45 minutes long (heartbreaking, I know), but I can assure you that he, his band and his dancers did not waste even a second of time, giving us a breathtaking performance. It was an impressive one full of energy, despite the intolerable heat that day. As a matter of fact, I think the energy was greater than previous shows I’ve attended—they did not let the weather stop them from performing their hearts out! As an outstanding team, they managed to pack so much into the short amount of time they had in order to put on a strong show. It was an exquisite 45 minutes.
One thing worth noting is that Rudberg’s cover of Rude Boy, originally by Rihanna, remains on the current setlist! Omar has intertwined many songs by other artists into his previous set lists, including songs by Justin Bieber and Cardi B. He switched it up in February, adding the Rihanna song during his Every Night Fantasy Tour, and it quickly became a fan-favourite cover of his. From an observer perspective, it seems like Omar enjoys playing it quite a bit!
“He has such a talent to captivate the audience with his vocals and dancing. It is so clear how much he loves performing and it shines through at every concert.” — X user @omrze_

@eat_the_gras1 (on X)
I used to struggle with choosing a favourite part of an Omar concert, specifically because every single song, piece of choreography and vocals is flawless—how can you decide a favourite out of pure perfection? However, thanks to Hoopla, I have decided that the medley of his Spanish songs is at the top of my rank. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always advocated for the salsa during Pull Up, but it was definitely this show that decided it for me. I think that every time I see him live, or even watch clips of his performances, I enjoy it more and more.
I asked many people what their favourite songs performed at Hoopla were, and let’s just say we certainly covered the entire setlist! Now two people that we interviewed answered with the same song and I think that really shows the duality of the setlist—it has something for everyone! I think Zofi (X user @omrze_) summed it up the best: “I love his whole set list though, so it’s hard to just name a few.”
“Hot, energy, BARRICADE!!!!” — X user @phanslovelife
Although it was short and sweet, Hoopla may be one of my favourite concerts yet. The outfit was incredible, the people were adorable and welcoming and wholesome, and the performance had more energy than anything I’ve ever seen. We cannot forget that this festival completely sold out of its 60,000 tickets! Hundreds gathered around the main stage for each artist, and it was no exception when Omar was on. It’s a huge milestone. It’s definitely one to remember.
Pinkpop, Landgraaf, Netherlands.
Let’s jump a little further in time to the third (and final) day of Pinkpop, on June 21st. This day marks the second of Omar’s summer shows this year. Wearing the same all-white outfit, Omar took the stage in the afternoon with a performance for the history books.
“Everyone around me was buzzing with energy, I felt so alive and free.” — X user @omarsxtea
If you think the lineup for Mighty Hoopla is insane, just wait until you hear about Pinkpop. Omar performed at the same festival as a number of huge names, such as Olivia Rodrigo, Tom Odell, Claude, Joost and The Last Dinner Party. It’s a wonderful feeling knowing that Omar is getting the exposure he deserves, up beside a lengthy list of other gifted musicians! Is this the start of many, many, many giant festival performances from Omar? We can only hope so.
X user @phanslovelife, who attended both Mighty Hoopla as well as Pinkpop, stated, “When it turned out he was performing the same day as Olivia, I was sold. I reshuffled some of my summer plans and added in a few days in Amsterdam with a trip to see Omar in the middle!” It must have been surreal for people to see a number of their favourite artists in one place!
“Omar Rudberg world domination - I was so happy to see such a big crowd and so many people singing along!!” — X user @annalovesyr
I spoke to one pure-hearted fan, who arranged a fan project for this festival. Lena, (@omarsxtea on X), and two more thoughtful friends, planned and worked tirelessly to produce a project for Omar’s song Happier. “We made paper stars with “you make us happier” written on them. I was so overwhelmingly happy when I saw that people really liked the idea and held the stars up during the song!”
It’s people like these three fans that bring so much love and joy to our community, and it’s remembered for a very long time. Omar’s concerts have grown familiar to fan projects, with most having at least one, and it’s always so heartwarming for everyone to be a part of it.
"Doing a fan project was so special to me. Seeing all those excited faces in the crowd and sharing such incredible moments with them was amazing. I love our community, and I’m so glad that we all got to see Omar visibly happy and carefree, doing what he loves."

@phanslovelife (on X)
That’s kind of what it’s all about when you’re an Omar fan. Just like the artist we follow, we are a fandom full of inclusion, love and acceptance. Considering this was a project held at a bigger event (not just Omar fans attending), I wonder what others must have thought—proud I hope.
“I loved how happy Omar seemed the whole time, he was smiling so much and the crowd was so good!”
— X user @rydingvsp
The love doesn’t stop there—we have had a catastrophic number of quotes, like the one above and the one below, said to us during interviews. Omar’s fans are always so vocal about his happiness, the love they have for him, and appreciating him for his hard work. Fan projects are just one way that this community gives back to the person that we idolise and respect the most.
“I just love when the crowd gives what Omar deserves. He always puts a lot of emotions into his music and he is always happy when the audience sings with him just like at Pinkpop, where I can hear in all of my videos, we as a crowd were really loud, which makes Omar happy.” — X user @cur1ymar

@cur1ymar (on X)
Lucky for those who had tickets, Omar’s set for Pinkpop was an hour long! This means that two ballads were back on the setlist: Red Light, and much to people’s surprise, Dum. X user @JbPurpleBeOmr commented on this, saying: “I did not expect him to sing Dum, so that was a surprise and it made me so happy.”
Other songs that made their way back on this day included In The Sunrise and It Takes A Fool To Remain Sane (which are both perfect festival songs, may I add). When asked what their favourite song of the day was, and why, X user @louisemgxx answered, “I was most excited when he started singing In The Sunrise. I love love love that song!” as well as X user @JbPurpleBeOmr, who confessed that "it is perfect for festival season.”
I can only imagine the crowd when these four songs were reclaimed at Pinkpop, and I must admit that my jealousy is real.
“I just love how genuinely happy and grateful Omar looks to be on stage. It makes the whole vibe complete and the crowd Omar brings with that is just amazing. We were all singing so loud—it was an experience I will never forget.” — X user @omarconantroye
As summer continues to progress, there will be many more shows for Omar in many other countries. I hope you have your tickets ready, and if not, there will be more opportunities soon—don’t miss them! You have to see this man, his band and his dancers perform at least one summer show in your life, otherwise what’s the point?
I’m super excited to see what’s next.
I’m sure we will be talking about it before you know it.

EVERY NIGHT FANTASY EP

After a little over a year of “Talk” and “Bye Bye”, what’s a better time to revisit the EP that includes many of the songs we’ve gotten the chance to sing with Omar, either during his Fall and ENF tours or summer festivals?
As his first major music project since OMR, his breakout album, it's pretty safe to say that fans were more than ecstatic for this new EP. Considering the two year gap between the album and EP, his return to the music scene was long-awaited, as many couldn’t wait to see Omar Rudberg’s growth as an artist.
A professional at teasing his fans, Omar gave fans many hints, including studio selfies on his Instagram story and post captions, one actually including a reference to the EP’s title. He also performed a few of the songs before officially releasing them, such as “Red Light”, which he performed for the first time during Cirkus and both “Talk” and “Bye Bye”, during sound check and the actual show at his later 2024 summer festivals, a few months before dropping the full EP.
It only made fans more excited as we witnessed what many still consider some of the greatest music released by Rudberg.
Going by the EP’s order, we’ll first dive into Talk—a playful pop song with less than subtle lyrics.
Quotes like “Fly around like a feather in my mind” fill the song with an air of fun sensuality, perfectly capturing the more giddy sides of falling in love with someone. It’s about the chase, the game of back and forth, where either side slowly begins to reveal their cards, still too nervous to fully tell the other their true feelings.

@OmarRubergOfficial YT
This is embodied in the accompanying music video, which opens with Omar’s flirty smile as he sets his sights on a man he meets while dancing with his friends, some of the dancers you’ll recognize from his shows. With careful glances, small touches, and an eventual kiss, right outside in the open streets, the whole video reads as light and fun, celebrating love as not only an emotion, but almost an entire identity, like the way a new crush seems to feel all-encompassing, and almost overwhelming.
Love consumes you, and Rudberg celebrates it.
“Girlfriend,” the next song on the EP, shares the same light-heartedness, with a few more risque lyrics.
Here, Rudberg describes falling for someone who is already taken. Someone who wants you back, but could never claim you fully—a type of romance that’s meant only for closed doors and hotel sheets.
We see Omar unapologetically owning his sexuality in lyrics such as “I can't leave a pretty boy alone” all the while keeping things entertaining in the chorus, “You got a girlfriend/ She ain't doin' it right/ You got a girlfriend/ I don't see her tonight/ I'll be your girlfriend/ I'll be whatever you like.”
And on the note of catchy, I’ve got to say that “Girlfriend” is one of my favorite songs I’ve gotten to experience live. Chanting the words with Omar and watching him completely kill it on stage has got to be a combination crafted by the music gods themselves.
“Girlfriend” also has its own visualizer, which features Omar standing in a darker green-blue light, only partially lit, capturing the sneakier parts of the song.

@OmarRubergOfficial YT
He’s also had numerous interviews discussing it in which he speaks to the sadder undertone of the song. While fun on the surface, Omar reminds us that, for many, this quiet, hidden type of relationship is the only one available. The speaker of the song agrees to being a “side chick” because it’s not safe for him to be out, he doesn’t think he can find someone who can give him something more, he thinks all he can have is partial, stolen love.
Up next is “Bye Bye”—my number one song of Spotify Wrapped 2024 (I’m not obsessed, you are).
This song set Twitter on fire, and I don’t mean whoops I accidentally turned on the burner on—I mean the type that would make the most experienced arsonists squirm. And the culprit: these lyrics “Please don't waste my time you pretty boy”.
While Rudberg’s sexuality is no secret, this was the first time he’s referenced a definitively male lover in his lyrics, and honestly, just hearing the way he says “pretty boy” is enough to warrant such a reaction. It’s just so…he’s a diva. That’s all I can say to that.
“Bye Bye” seems to capture the other side of “Girlfriend,” this time, the speaker is the one being played by his boyfriend as he “spends [his] hours and [his] money on somebody new”... and let me just say, I don’t want to be on the receiving end of Omar’s scrutiny…
Changing tones almost entirely, though staying true to the EP’s theme of love, “Red Light” is the EP’s first ballad.
I think this song deserves a whole article to itself, purely based on the lyricism. It’s beautiful, especially when combined with Omar’s strong, incredible vocal skills.
The song talks about a feeling which is so universal, I think, discussing a middle ground which I think gets overlooked too often. It’s when you’re painfully still in love with someone, longing for their presence and the future you’ve planned with them, but can’t be with them, not because they don’t love you back, but because they aren’t the right person.
The whole relationship is on borrowed time, “we only had a couple days,” but is no less intense as it continues to come back to him, “I keep coming back to the red light”.
It’s only in a dream that they can continue to dance with one another…
Depressing, right? No worries though, Omar Rudberg loves to give us emotional whiplash, blessing us with my personal favorite (who deserves more love and attention, regardless of how popular she becomes) “Lose Me”.
The only song on the album written by Omar himself, “Lose Me” feels distinctly different. It’s so him, I knew he wrote it before even having to check the credits. It’s a song about finding confidence after a breakup.
It’s become one of my crash out songs, one that I scream while driving my car the legal speed limit on my way home from work.
Two lines speak to me most especially: “Do you think about what you left behind?” and “Unintentionally, you were setting me free”. I just love how he frames it not as him being the one who loses his former relationship, but it’s them. They lost him, not the other way around, and in the end, he’s better without them.
It’s a perfect reminder to remember that you have so much worth, and if someone fails to recognize that, then it’s a bummer for them, not you.
Two more left…are you still alive? Good, because time for my next favorite (seriously though, the run from Red Light to Wrong is actually insane) “Wrong”.
This might be my favorite Omar ballad ever, which I feel like is a big statement considering the songs he has in his arsenal (“Breathe”, “She Fell in Love in the Summer”, “Dum”), but I mean it with every fiber of my being. When this song came on, I think I died. I was on my way home from the club, and I forced my friend to let me listen to the EP in the car. Barely breathing after the mastery that is “Lose Me,” I full-on screamed when we reached the chorus—my friend can never look at me the same after that.
It’s just such a classic: the piano, his vocals, the lyrics ... so much so, it’s the only Omar song I’ve gotten my mom to listen to WITHOUT me begging her to (my great-grandmother even likes it).
It tells a beautiful tale. A love that is strong and enduring, and most importantly, so secure. It’s the kind many of us wish we could have for ourselves, the kind people spend lifetimes searching for: “Fallin’ for you every day/ The feeling never goes away”.
I’m not ashamed to say that I absolutely bawled my eyes out when I heard it live for the first time.
And lastly, we have “Sabotage”.
It’s the final song of the album, and the current closing song of his shows, and I couldn’t imagine something more fitting.
Playing off of “Wrong”, “Sabotage” also crafts a story of intense love, one that’s so important to him that he’s afraid he’ll “sabotage” it.
While promoting this song, he made a collage of memories from the past year, including moments from the filming of Young Royals and his Cirkus show—a TikTok I refuse to rewatch because it should be considered emotional warfare. Jokes aside, the song is truly beautiful: “If I die in your arms/ Wouldn’t care about heaven at all”.
Though I think what’s most striking is the final verse of the song where we get mostly raw vocals—it feels so vulnerable and authentic to Omar that I always find myself replaying the last few seconds of the song, feeling in awe no matter how many times I’ve already heard it.
The EP also includes a Spanish version of “Red Light”, “Luz Roja” as a bonus song, which I think is the perfect addition. Many fans, including myself, missed Omar’s blend of his languages, so this homage to his heritage with this version feels especially fitting.
With just eight songs, Omar reminds us who exactly he is as an artist: bold, vulnerable, and unapologetically himself. And if Every Night Fantasy tells us anything about what to expect from OMR2, we’re in for something unforgettable, so…buckle up, and stay tuned on Omar Nation!
“Thank you so so much for this year, one of the best years of my life!”
