OMAR INTRODUCTION
So…who is Omar Rudberg?
Singer, actor, CEO, and inspiration to many across the globe, Omar Rudberg is a force to be reckoned with. Known for his talent, drive, and authenticity, he embraces his identity with confidence and encourages his fans to do the same. With bold ambitions to take the world by storm through his music and charisma, Rudberg has the star power to back it up.

With that being said, let’s take a look at how he’s gotten to where he is now:
Born in Anaco,Venezuela on November 12, 1998 to Wilnur González (now Rudberg), Omar spent most of his childhood in home country surrounded by his close family members, until the age of six when he and his mother moved to Sweden.
Omar Rudberg talks about his early life on Sommarprat in 2023, and the transition to Sweden and his earlier years in Swedish schools on Tre Smacker with Camilla Hadid.

He’s always had a passion for music and performance, so at age eleven, he competed on Talang, Sweden’s Got Talent. And just three years later, he debuted in a boyband, FO&O. The group became infamous in Sweden and were nominated for twelve awards, winning eight over the course of their five years together. Amassing over eighty million streams on Spotify, the boy band also performed in Melodifestivalen 2017, and opened for Justin Bieber and One Direction.
After the group split, Omar Rudberg began his solo career in 2018 with the release of his single, Que Pasa, featuring Lamix. The single encompasses his unique style almost perfectly with its mix of Swedish and Spanish lyrics, Latin beat, and pop sound. Just a year later, Omar Rudberg performed in Melodifestivalen 2019 with his song, Om Om och Om Igen, and while he did not advance, his performance was incredible. He would take the Melodifestivalen stage one last time in 2022 with his single Moving Like That.
That same year, on May 27, Rudberg released his first album, OMR. Featuring ten songs, including three singles, Moving Like That, La Incondicional (with Benjamin Ingrosso), and Mi Casa Su Casa, the album feels distinctly personal. Nearly every track features some Spanish lyrics, and when combined with Mama—a heart-warming ballad, dedicated to his mother—the album has a sense of vulnerability that is rare to find in contemporary music.
Perhaps what introduced most of us to Rudberg, though, is his debut role in Netflix’s Young Royals (2021), as Simon Eriksson. In Volume 3, we will cover the show more in depth, but for now, it is important to consider its international impact. Its unique storyline and representation of queer love resonated with many people from all over the globe, hitting Netflix’s top 10 series in numerous countries.

The Tonight Show
In December 2022, the show’s success brought Omar Rudberg and his co-star, Edvin Ryding, to New York. Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the two promoted the announcement of the final season of the show.
Since Royals, Omar Rudberg has appeared in one other acting role as Dante in Karusell (2023)— his first feature film, and during a few live streams and interviews has teased the possibility of other acting roles in the future.
Focusing on music primarily, though, Rudberg announced his first solo show to take place on February 17, 2024 at Cirkus arena in Stockholm, Sweden. We will discuss the event in more detail in a later volume! At the same time, Rudberg also announced in November his beauty company, OMR Beauty, with the release of his gender neutral perfume, INTRO.
Rudberg always keeps himself busy! During that summer, he participated in many festivals, including his first international festival at Heide Park in Germany (read more about his shows in volume 1). Soon after, Rudberg announced an international Fall Tour with his first international, solo show in Brooklyn, New York (read more about the Fall Tour in Volume 3).

Shortly before the first show of that tour, Omar Rudberg released his EP, Every Night Fantasy, including eight tracks that he would perform in the upcoming days.
Though we’ve already covered so much, this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Rudberg. He’s so incredibly hardworking and passionate about his career—it’s hard to keep track of it all. But that’s precisely why we’ve started Omar Nation! With input from the community (hey, that’s you guys! ), and the efforts of our team, we hope to do our best to continue to keep track of Omar’s achievements and compile them here for you guys.
Keep reading for more information about all things Omar Rudberg!

TEAM INTRODUCTION
If you are curious as to who is behind this magazine and why are we doing this, then you’re in luck! Here’s what you need to know about us.
Our magazine team here at Omar Nation, is a small group of fans scattered from Europe to the United States, who have built this project for Omar’s fanbase. We came up with the idea that having a space specifically to dedicate our time to inform you all on and discuss the latest Omar news and fan news, would be a way to give back to the community here.
Not only do we strive to create a space to keep you updated on recent events so you never miss a thing, but we also aim for your voices to be heard as we discuss your experiences, your reviews and your work within this fanbase. We aim to have designated a space to celebrate our community, together.
Considering our position, please note that we are an independent, non-profit magazine made solely because we enjoy creating and discussing Omar Rudberg related content, and therefore we are manufacturing this in our own time. Though we have been working very hard on this project, know that we are not professionals but merely a group of friends with a passion that we share with many of you.
So, without further ado, would you like to meet the team?
Hello loves! I’m Lilly (@wilmonscoffee) and my pronouns are she/her. My favourite Omar song could quite literally be any of his Swedish songs, but most associate me with ‘LÓ“ppar’. I definitely have a soft spot for ‘Om om och om igen’ and ’På min telefon toda la noche’ as well. I discovered Omar through Young Royals, just before the release of season 2, however my friend had been attempting to convince me to watch the show for months before I actually did… whoops! When asked what Lilly isn’t Lilly without, I’d instantly say a mix of coffee and a new fixation every week. I love writing and sharing it with others, so this magazine is something I am very excited to contribute to and share with you all! :)
Hii! I’m Bella or @omarzcrown, my pronouns are they/she. I first discovered Omar through Young Royals, I found the show one random day in August 2022 and developed an (un) healthy addiction to it. After I found out Omar was a singer, I quickly started listening to his music and fell in love with it. My favorite song is probably ‘She Fell In Love In The Summer’ or ‘Dum’ however that is from a very LONG list that I cannot choose from. I’m so grateful for everyone I’ve met in this silly little fandom that feels like home and can’t wait for you to read and see what's to come. Love you all <3
Hi!! I’m El (@catmarluv) and my pronouns are they/them. I actually discovered Omar fairly recently, mid 2023, but I quickly fell in love with his acting, music… everything! My favorite songs are ‘Jag e nån annan’ or ‘Läppar’ but ‘Wrong’ is quickly climbing my personal chart! Aside from my Omar activities, I also really enjoy psychology and anything cat-related. I can confidently say those are the 2 things anyone who knows me would associate with me :) I am so grateful for everyone I have met in this fandom and I’m so excited to share this project with you all!
Hii!! I’m Petra (@cuntberq), and my pronouns are she/her. I first discovered Omar through Young Royals when I watched it back in August 2021. Immediately after, I found out that he made music and fell in love with it. My favorite songs are probably ’Wrong’, ’Lose Me’ and ’Höj Ett Glas’ but it changes all the time. I’m so thankful for everything that I got to experience because of Omar and the fandom and I can’t wait for everyone to see everything we’ve been working on.
Hey! I’m Callie (@readingrudberry), she/her! I’ve been obsessed with Omar since he popped up on my screen, and let me just say… despite the fact that I’m a lesbian, he’s got me HOOKED. I need his whole discography tattooed on my brain, but if I had to choose favorites it’d definitely be “Wrong”, “Lose Me”, and “Höj ett glas”! I’ve been with the fandom for almost two years now and had a blast with my NYCmar pookies at his concert! Cannot wait for you to see what we have cooking <3
